PALMETTOPRIDE HOSTS TREE GRANT PICKUP TODAY

MEDIA ADVISORY

 

WHAT:            PalmettoPride's Spring Tree Grant recipients will come to the SC Department of Corrections on Broad River Road today to pick up their trees.  PalmettoPride awarded 644 trees to 18 organizations, including municipal and county governments and one school.  The trees must be used in beautification projects on public property. 

 

WHEN:            Wednesday, March 9, 2008. 10 a.m. – 1:00pm.

WHERE:         Tree Grant recipients will pick up their trees at SC Department of Corrections facilities on Broad River Road from 10:00am to 1:00pm. (A list of the 2008 Tree Grant Recipients follows.) 

 

PalmettoPride is a statewide non-profit dedicated to reducing litter in South Carolina and promoting beautification in our communities.  Their focus is a 4-pronged approach: education, enforcement, awareness and pickup.
