PALMETTOPRIDE AWARDS GRANTS TO KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL AFFILIATES
For Immediate Release Media Contact: December 4, 2009 Sarah Robinson, 803-758-6034 PALMETTOPRIDE AWARDS GRANTS TO KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL AFFILIATES South Carolina Affiliates Receive Funds for Local Initiatives Columbia, SC – PalmettoPride, South Carolina's anti-litter and beautification organization, presented 19 Keep America Beautiful affiliates with over $120,000 in funds to initiate litter reduction programs in their areas. The Keep South Carolina Beautiful grant assists all the state affiliates of the national origination, Keep America Beautiful, Inc., with grant funds to initiate programs in three focus areas: litter reduction, beautification and waste reduction. Affiliates receiving grants are as follows: | Sumter Co. Beautiful | | Keep Fairfield Beautiful | | Keep Georgetown Beautiful | | Keep Greenville Beautiful | | Keep Greenwood Beautiful | | Keep North Charleston Beautiful | | Keep Oconee Beautiful Association | | Keep Orangeburg Beautiful | | Keep the Midlands Beautiful | | Keep Williamsburg Beautiful | | Kershaw Co. Clean Community Commission | | Rock Hill Clean and Green | PalmettoPride is the parent organization of Keep South Carolina Beautiful, the state affiliate that works with local affiliates on training, education, program development, the Great American Cleanup, and special projects with Keep America Beautiful. There are 24 local affiliates statewide and one in the pre-certification process.
