Palmetto Prideways

Developed by PalmettoPride, in partnership with SC Department of Transportation and the SC Department of Corrections, this program encourages businesses, organizations and individuals to sponsor sections of interstates and highways throughout the state by funding inmate clean-up services. Palmetto Prideways is a great way for civic-minded businesses and groups to help make the state's interstates more beautiful, restore state pride and improve the quality of life in South Carolina. Similar to the Adopt-A-Highway program, Prideways allows groups the opportunity to sponsor their own stretch of interstate segments. Recognition signs are placed along the interstate to identify the companies' or groups' efforts. SCDC and SCDOT have developed a program to keep the South Carolina Interstate system clean with the help of businesses, individuals and organizations.
